I have a 99 prerunner with a v6 and need front shocks. What are the best ones? Which type come with it? Dual chambers or single? Are they rough to change and do they need adjustment after installation? Any ideas?

True. I guess I'm just about putting in the more reliable stuff..i mean, why step backwards?

Plus Billy 5100s are pretty cheap through DSM.

honestly, I have rancho 5000's on the rear of my truck because my old rough country shocks were worn out and I needed something cheap quick.

The rancho's ride so much better then the rough countrys, and I like the rancho's because they are made in the USA.

They may not be the best...but for light duty stuff they are pretty good shocks.

When I upgrade my lift I will be doing bilsteins in the rear.

A monotube strut will be nice. I have KYB Gas-A-Justs. They are wonderful.

Yeah 4wp sucks ass, the only reason i would suggest these over the 5100's is cuz he said he doesnt offroad, they are kind of over kill.

yes they do, I was just pointing out the ranchos also have one.

Make no mistake, Bilsteins are vastly superior. The rancho 5000's are fluid emulsion shocks. Bilsteins are gas charged and will ride much better.

But... for $50 a shock, that will last a lifetime because of the warranty, they are great if you dont do any real offroading. You cant beat that. Plus you can go down to advanced auto parts and order them and have them the next morning. Plus they are made in the USA, like the bilsteins are.
