Hi, new to the site, over the weekend I installed 1.5" front spacers on my '12 Taco to help clear my 33" tires, anyone else running this set up? I'm a little concerned on the threading. I was able to torque the spacers down to the same spec as the lug nuts, but they only threaded about 3/4 on the bolt. Going to check them in a few days and add some lock tight.....ride feels great btw.

Those instructions have had me hesitant to put mine on. Was worried about loosening . Wife and kids are in it during the week, due to gas mileage for my job.

I also figured 1.5" is better than 2", but I did find 1" or 1.25" in case I end up returning. Since they're seated I wonder what the true difference is in depth on the bolts between 1.5" and 1.25"...definitely not .25"...

My SpiderTrax spacers threaded on the stock lugs all the way. The studs protrude from the spacer lugs just a little bit. FWIW, I used red loctite...retorqued them after 100mi and now I retorque them whenever the wheels come off. Haven't had any issues and I've had them for probably 30k miles or more.

Thank You, here are a few pics, granted this is before I torqued them down, still only covered about 3/4 of the lug bolts....

What brand spacers are those? Do the instructions make any mention of how far the lugs should go down?

That seems a little sketchy to me.

These are 1 inch Bora spacers. I've had them on for 3,500+ miles with no issues. You can see I have about 2 threads showing beyond.

Per the instructions everything was torqued, I took it for a 5 mile test drive. Re-torqued everything and mounted the wheels back on. So far I've done a tire rotation and just swapped on the winter wheels and tires. Re-checked the torque on everything again with no issues. Every time you do a tire rotation its good measure to re-check the torques. Generally no need for blue loctite. Just remember not to use an impact gun since that will generally break the studs.

As said before, the SpiderTrax lug nuts go all the way with a bit of the original bolts passing through the lugnut. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with only partial threading like that picture shows and I'm a fan of spacers. I've run spacers on both trucks and cars for years and never had a problem but I've never had spaces that didn't bolt all the way through. I'd call the manufacturer and make sure these are the correct spacers for your truck.

    Maybe try extended length lugs?

^Agreed. That does not seem like enough thread to be safe.
