Good Evening - Bummed & Blessed. Blessed to have just purchased a 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro but it seems like the front door speakers are not working correctly, they are muffled with low volume. Need to place your ear next to the speaker to hear it and it is mainly base. Please tell me this is not how they are supposed to sound? Has anyone had a similar issue?

Just joined - super excited to have my first Tacoma (2021 TRD Pro)

However, just took delivery and the front door speakers are muffled (low volume) you have to put your ear up to them to hear them and they are mainly base. Anyone have a similar issue or suggestions?

You probably need to adjust the settings.

The best sound my stock speakers ever made was when they hit the inside of a dumpster.

The stock speakers are shit. When you pull them out you will see how small the magnets are and how cheap they feel. No fucking around with the settings will help. Search the kicker/Subaru tweeter mod and other upgrade paths.

minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.
    My way:
Have replaced all 4 speakers in the doors+tweeters to JL acoustics (better quality, slightly more expensive than Kicker, IMO). Have added powered compact 10"
subwoofer under driver seat. Price $550 CAD. Love the result. Recommend!

    Just something else to try.
I noticed the same thing and tried turning off the "automatic sound levelizer" under the "audio", then "sound" menu buttons.
I'm no audiophile but it made a big improvement to me.
