I had a Suburban 2500 near that same year (2002). Giant POS. I had to add a quart of oil every 3 weeks. At least I never had to do an oil change as it continuously got fed new oil:rofl:

Oil cooler grenaded. And a mouse hit the harness while it was down. Also got a new starter. Shes all fixed up and ready for the snow, for now..

I use a 6'8" Western Defender on my 2017 tacoma and truck also has 33" BRP's with a 6" lift and so far three seasons works excellent and no issues but also make sure I do check things over, but truck does great job pushing snow and I say atually better than most full sized trucks with regards to residential type plowing, beause of the abilty to maneuver an thr 4wheel drive works great as well as the springs are the original but that is up to you to decide. Either way All good and like everything mechanical. Things will break but that is why we have tool boxes of tools and nothing wrong with adding a Plow on a Tacoma. Good Luck!! Western Defender Plow runs about $5,000 easy to install excellent Plow strong and has it all.
