My 2010 is over 160k miles now and I’m thinking about putting new struts and springs on the old girl.

Any recommendations on brands to get? Or avoid?

The truck is stock. I only drive it to work and back.

Katzkin, Dobinsons full suspension. Redlinegoods console cover and door panel arm rests, Double USB charger in dash installed, Ballistic Jesters 16x8. BlackVue DR 590 Dash Cam
Budget? Do you want to lift? If you want to stay stock there are brands that that will inprove your ride comfort. I chose Dobinsons from Exit offroad from @Crikeymike when I did mine @160k but I lifted you may not want to lift.

I’m flexible on the budget. Middle of the road? It doesn’t have to be the best and I don’t want bottom of the barrel either.
An improvement of ride would certainly be welcome!

Go to the market place/ sales section and look for a set of take offs that are relatively new. Of course, if you want new, go with the bilstein 5100's.
Btw... 2nd Gen and 3rdgens are compatible on suspension.

And you will get a noticeable lift in the front by going to third gens. I was fortunate enough to find a set for free on here. Overall very happy with the “lift “ and ride quality. Truck is perfectly level now or at least until I get something heavy in the bed. Need to work on that now.

I am currently sitting on a 4 inch lift 2wd, when I first started I was at 5.5 inches. It was cool, but not practical.

Just for informational purposes. They are not struts. They are shock absorbers with coil springs over them.

There are a couple that are budget, middle of the road
    not the best
and also not bottom of the barrel
    and an improvement in ride

one that fits that criteria is 6112/5160
maybe a couple other similar ones. I've heard OME has some good stuff.

5100 is bottom of the barrel. Far as I know, the only difference from it and 4600 is it's compatible with a higher spring, and is a different color.
They're both the cheapest that exist.
It's usually done because "want truck to be taller"

why wouldn’t you want to pay twice more for a vehicle on the same frame, same suspension, but with a windshield camera now

lol, whoops I started a reply earlier and didn’t finish posting it so the reply is messed up. But yeah, I don’t mind putting money in this 2010. The newer trucks are beyond crazy in all the bells and whistles they have on them. I don’t want any of that garbage.
