So 2016 Tacoma with 45k on it and my front subframe to inner fender is tearing apart. No wrecks, nothing. Never even touched anything over there. The pic is showing behind the lower air box. This literally is blowing my mind.... F3BCF9AD-C369-47FA-90D2-8E9CD9444EC8.jpg9310C75C-01EB-4C76-82EF-DD682852A84F.jpg drinks anyone?
Edit: Bot my pic but this is the location. Behind the air box where the snout goes through.75C506D4-24C0-4FC7-85E6-B0528AA86A88.jpg

I honestly cannot believe that my wheeling would have done this. I’m sure it did, but I can’t believe it did. It’s not a damn Cherokee!!! This shouldn’t be happening to a truck as new as mine.

Stop-drill the crack if you can. Still a chance it could extend beyond though.

Oh it’s going to the dealer. If they hang me out to dry then I’m finally gonna call it quits. It won’t last to 100k at this rate...

Will they cover damage from off-roading? I mean when you watch commercials and they’re driving thru mini puddles of water and mud the super tiny disclaimer says that is not recommended

First your fan shroud and this? We tore apart a Dakota offroading it rather fast for Forest Service, didnt take long with all the fire gear and big old water tank it had in back. Bumpy roads at speeds will break anything. I’d clean that puppy up frome inside, underneath and outside before taking it to the dealer, they may try to claim abuse which is one of their warranty escape clauses. Good luck with that.

So anyone that lives down a dirt road is without a warranty? I’m not really a wheeler in the flexing it out all the time sense. I have, but it’s more like desert dirt roads. If I was doing Moab type stuff all the time then absolutely it would be me using it. But I have to say I’m very conservative compared to others.

No, not if its seen as negligent offroad driving... going fast and jumping, etc.

It wont last either if abused (not saying OP is doing it), just that metal fatigue affects all.

Could just try and claim insurance theres no way warranty is going to pay for that.
