I'm still impressed with mine. I think they work best on lightly lifted trucks where the stops are not riding on the metal. A little gap is good in my opinion.

The foam probably absorbs and dissipates high frequency vibrations

    Enough for now
same! There are a couple on my usual routes I’ve hit super fast/hard and been pleasantly surprised with the new bump stops!

I’ve tried getting the fronts off to put a spacer for testing and have failed both times to get it off… I’m going to need to get an oil filter wrench at this rate. No, I don’t have one anymore. The dealer we bought our car/truck from offers lifetime oil changes and I trust them to do that.
I’ve got a leather belt (tried a fabric belt & various other things laying around to try and get it off) next but if that does not work I’ll get a oil filter wrench and use that. That blue locktite is no joke on there…

I would also like to know this answer?

Wondering how much over all travel or flex we are possibly giving up in the front, for the other potential gains in ride and handling. Or does this question even matter, unless you are extreme off-roading:confused:. Also, wondering if these would be helpful in an emergency situation of swerving to miss something at higher speeds?

That is a good point, I wonder how much it limits articulation

I don't think you necessarily lose any articulation, but it slows the articulation as it takes more force to compress with the added spring force of the stops. They will still compress down to what looks to me similar to the stock bumpstops but by the time you get there, you'd likely already have been fully articulated well before fully compressing the sumos. Articulation seemed great when I had them offroad TBH and the confidence in handling far overshadows, for me, any minor loss of articulation. Plus there's just a lot of weight in the front so they compress easier than I've experienced on the rears. With an unloaded bed, definitely a noticeable loss of articulation in the rear - but once again if I had 1000 lbs back there, they'd still have some travel to go vs. hitting the bumps harshly.

No question in my mind the fronts (and rears for that matter) decrease rollover risk and makes quick moves much safer with the reduced body roll. Quick moves to miss obstacles / cars are much more precise. It was the first thing I noticed when getting on the freeway in heavy traffic when a car slammed on their brakes, I swerved to avoid and was impressed with how nimble & responsive they made my truck.

:fistbump:Mine also via UPS. Estimated delivery Thursday for me. I’m already budgeting for November for the rears. Hopefully, they will have some sort of Black Friday sale on them:rolleyes:

It ain’t stupid if it works! Don’t have a pipe wrench big enough but I do have a big ass C clamp. Short test drive done and body roll is definitely minimized. Overall happy to have the fronts match the rear Sumos I’ve had for a year. The rears have been great for towing so farC472C9EF-CF78-4FD0-A93F-361424E6D94A.jpg
Tip for anyone installing: I sprayed the lower control arm pad with WD40 to help the Sumo slide easier as you thread it in

    Sweet.

I think I am going to hold off on the rears, without significant weight in the bed I am not sure if they will be required and might be a hinderance

Do yours touch the lower control arm at rest? Here’s a picture of mine on a flat surface touching on both sides. I’m on stock height too.
