    Hey Guys,

Sorry if this has been covered before but I'm hurting for some advice.
(Im living in the forest of Arizona and internet access is REALLY limited.)

Been a member since 2010 (ScampTramp), lost my login info so have a new account.

    Have a quick question.

We have a 2000 Tacoma TRD 5 spd with 250,000+ miles on it, recently repaired two lower ball joints on the trail, and cant afford to make too many more front suspension trail repairs.

I am interested in rebuilding the entire front suspension instead of doing it peace meal.
Is there a non-lift front suspension rebuild kit anyone can recommend?

Thank you in advance for your help,
    Char

I am interested in doing the same thing to my 2003 TRD, so am going to follow your thread closely. My truck only has about 60,000 miles on it, but the shocks are still OEM and the northeast winters/salt are really showing what they do the shocks and control arms. I have no interest in lifting my truck, but would like to good replacement suspension components.

Grey wire MOD, deck plate, diff breather MOD, 2nd gen. OME 883# on Tundra 5100's, OMD custom 3" leafsprings, rear shock relocation, Ivan Stewart TRD rims w/285/75/16's, '02 bumper MOD, Famous Fabrications sliders , LED interior/exterior lights, bed bar, Custom tube bumper, Old school KC day lighters,Red Ring 8" HID flood, Kenwood vhf 2M.. umm some other shit I'm forgetting right now
Don't know right off hand about a bundled component kit, maybe make a complete list yourself & try to get a break on price ? Just a thought, theres alot of parts in IFS/front ends it depends on what you consider a rebuild, I consider a rebuild from the LCA's to the UCA's with everything inbetween...A lot of $$$$$ , 1st gen lower BJ's suck...

I'm in sort of the same boat for my 2000 trd but I'm just searching prices online and auto part stores. I need new axles, upper/lower ball joints and maybe the inner/outer tie rods. Not sure what else you may be needing. NAPA axles have been recommended. They are about $70 each new. AutoZone has upper ball joints for $13 ea and lowers for $22 each. I've seen outer tie rods for less than $10 online. Can't remember the price for inner rods. I haven't seen any kind of complete kit but you may be able to assemble some kind of package discount depending on where you go.

I've watched a ton of YouTube videos and the work looks manageable for the diy'er. My hope is to be under $300 for the parts I've mentioned.

Im not sure if TW has the clout or connections to negotiate with a Toyota dealer for a "front end rebuild kit" as a group buy.

Maybe put together several kit levels from 1 part to the complete kit.
    L1) Ball joints
    L2) L1 + Front CV shafts
    L3) L1 + L2 + Struts
    L4) L1 + L2 + L3 + Steering Rack
    L5) more
    L6) more
    L7) more

Just keep adding front end rebuild parts until every part is included.

Aftermarket front end parts, BJ's and CV/ shafts, don't seem to live very long ... imho.
