This weekend I had new tires put on and when I received my truck back the mechanic said my Front Right Sway Bar end links are leaking at boot and my Front right CV Boot is torn/leaking and need to replace my cv axle. For reference I drive a 2014 TRD Off Road extended cab and just installed OME 2886 heavy load coils and OME EL112R heavy load leaf springs which I got about 2.5” of lift from. I do a fair amount of off-roading and am slowly turning this into an overland build.

With the sway bar end links do I need to find longer ones now that my front end is lifted or will newer versions of the same size be fine because they were probably already worn before the lift?

And with the CV boot being torn am I able to replace the boot or do I need to replace the whole cv axle?

What are your recommendations for parts?

    You can change just one.
The problem is, the boots usually like to rub on them self when you lift a truck.
So, more than likely, the other one will tear sooner than later.

I’d just change the one. Because I’m lazy.

On mine, I found the passenger rear end link leaking when I replaced the bushings. So I ordered a full set front and rear from summit. Received the fronts. After repeated emails asking if I still wanted the rears, they canceled the order saying something like it’s taking too long after 7 months. That was prepandemic, moog.

If you can figure out which ones you need, mevotech ttx are the beefiest I’ve seen.

If you’re able to do the work yourself, rebuilding the axles with new boots would be a lot cheaper. If you have to pay for labor it’ll likely the a wash.
