    i bought the same hook. i haven't put the actual tow strap on but the hook looks too close to the frame for the strap loop to fit on the hook. anyone else having that trouble?

    looks like i may be giving my dad the hook for his jeep and i'll just get a couple of d-rings.

    Yeah, I can't see doing a full out recovery from say deep mud with that front closed loop but you can pull someone out of a snowbank with it.
