Seems to be a common issue that these get siezed in the bushing. I'm no different there. I can't get these out for the life of me. I have heated them soaked them and negative they won't even turn. I'm just going to cut them out. I have a 5 lug so all the pics on upper control arms have the long bolt. I have 2 bolts and there us a square nut that is siezed in a capture piece on the frame. Question I have is can I just cut the whole thing off and put a nut and washer on it? Seems like a stupid design. Also if there are tricks to getting the upper ball joint to separate so I can get the shock out that is much appreciated. Soon I'll be leaving to go get a pickle bar or seperator.

Have you tried fire yet? Pb blaster for a bit then torch it. Almost always works

Yeah pb and heat for awhile now. Nothing. I only have Mapp seems like the bolt is actually stuck in the sleeve. I got one side loose with impact heat and pn the other isn't budging. The bolts hold the upper control arm are stuck except for 2 but now the square piece rotates with the bolt and I can't grab it without damaging the capture part of the bracket

Ok. I broke some of the bolts loose need a break. For people who come here, I used the heat up quench method. Heat the bolt, like really hot cherry red. Spray some pb on there. Beware of fire, my experience is it just get smokey but I don't want to be responsible for bad decisions. Then the bolts that hold the uca on.... well this is a stupid design. Almost all of the cages around the nut are now bent so the bolt will spin but I can't get the thing to loosen off. So... I pit vice grips on it. Same process with heat and spray. Here's a pic with vice grips. Moving forward I will probably replace the sq nut with an actual flange nut. I don't see the purpose of the bracket being like this. I will probably cut them off for clearance and then new nut and bolt. I will update after I complete.

What really makes me mad about all this is that the frame was replaced in the recall. It has been a couple of years now. I definitely talked to dealer and told them to replace anything that was bad or looked bad on the suspension components. Everything "checked" good. When I got it home to look at it. They clearly changed the lower control arms and shackles and leaf springs. The upper control arms and struts were the only things not replaced. While I'm glad I didn't pay for any of that, I definitely would have to avoid the frustration of this bs. I have done multiple cars and never had this many problems with this stuff. Hell even my 2007 daily driven pilot wasn't this bad when I changed the struts out at 200k miles.

I got one side in. Does anyone have a pic of the passenger side brake line shock mount position. I'm almost certain I installed this backwards. I have the flange on the shock towards the front. Frustrated now so I'm taking a break. This has been way more difficult than anticipated lol
