Front windshield tinted 50%

I had the windshield of my last car tinted. Just tinting it a little bit makes a big difference when the rest of your windows are tinted. It's not legal around here, but I was never pulled over in the 3 years I had it on the car. Believe it or not, I didn't even notice it at night.

If you have polarized sunglasses, get ready for everything to look like rainbows, though.

what are your side windows at? i wanna get mine done after my wet okoles come in but idk how dark i can go because my dad would never let me get something that gets me a ticket and i dont think 35% is dark enough.

 

How is it at night? I heard it sucks

Technically your in NORTH Ga. But yeah it does get hot in South Ga.
I'm from Valdosta and back when I had my 2001 Nissan Frontier AC in 2004 I had my windshield tinted but just top and bottom parts. It looked like everything was in widescreen like on tv lol. I got the idea of tinting top and bottom parts from the log trucks rolling around down here. I had them done by a tint shop in Thomasville. Tinting the top and bottom part of the windshield is legal. BUT its got to be no more than 6 inches tho. Good luck on riding around in the "real" South Ga. Make sure NOT to go to Lowndes, Brooks, Thomas, and Cook counties with a "full" tinted windshield.

 

^ Yea I just moved from lowndes. And all my buddies with illegal tints would get tickets constantly

you can tint the bottom legally? lol i didn't know that was legal anywwhere. did it really help though? i know where i'm at it's hella not legal though lol

and idk why everyone's ragging on this. I personally couldn't drive with this, but I know some people that have tinted their entire windshield, and it's really not THAT hard to see out of, even at night.

it IS a bit of a liability issue, and im pretty sure the OP realizes this and took that into consideration when he did this, and maybe for him the benefits outweigh the costs.

Naht. Tint won't keep the heat out on a windshield, they do make a clear film that does though.

The tint place tinted the top and bottom of my windshield. I even made sure it was legal at the time. MOST tint places will ONLY do the legal tinting. When I had my Tacoma windows tinted they would only do the side windows at the legal darkness. But my back glass they could tint as dark as their tint came. I might call the tint place in Thomasville to see if they still tint the bottom part of the windshield. IF they do I'm most def going to make a appointment for it to be done next week. Also gives me a reason to pop in on my fam. I moved from Valdosta to Macon in April 2005 and I havent seen anyone here with top and bottom of the windshield tinted yet. But b4 i go and get it done i am going to check to see if its ok here.

 

I had 20% on my windshield...had to take it out and miss it...

 

if you have migraines or problems with your eyes you can get a prescription to tint the front windshield

 

i had one for my skin...but state police said it had to come off

 

I had 5 % all around in my old 98 taco with 50% front tint.

it was nightime all day. lol. the only bad thing was reversing outta my driveway at night I had to roll down all my windows.
