That was a fun trip with pretty much non stop driving. We were all pretty excited to drive around everywhere. The ebay turbo survived full throttle sand just fine. I think we hit almost every trail in occotillo wells. Airbag, he must be a bit bummed out. Might be a good idea to override that when off road.

What roads did you and the Nissan guys hit? I'll get some wind blown out vid clips up tonight with a few pictures.

Turning them off would be smart.

Man that turbo is sick! Glad it held up. I'm not sure if you guys felt the same but was the desert extra sandy in the washes?
We were all over the map as well. Did a big circle like you guys, Salton Sea, Gas Domes, Shell Reef, Devils Slide, Blow Sand, and a host of other trails/canyon crossings, so many I can't remember. Hit-up a few areas in Anza but never got over to the split mountain side; pretty much non stop driving for 7 hrs. I wish I could have joined you guys as well but I camped the night before with the Frontier group I was the only Tacoma plus Ryan's 4Runner. Decided I would join them for a trail run since I got to know everybody.

I caravan'd out on Friday with Jay who drives a King Fabrication built Frontier, very nice truck, but he left early not feeling well.

    I'll post some pics

Sounds like it was a fun trip. I wanted to make it. I had the rig ready to roll but ironically work had me tied up in Borrego Springs at the solar power plant all week. I was out there for a couple days straight, I didn't get home from that adventure until super late friday. I tried getting myself up early enough to head down and meet up in the morning but its a LONG haul from Hesperia to get down there. I just didn't have it in me this time. Too bad the weather turned for the weekend. It was perfect out there all week. Mid 80's and only a slight breeze in the later afternoon hours.

Excuses excuses... I showed up around 2-4 on Saturday.

On the other hand I'm already tired of the stock ecu, it's time for more boost (even though my gauge was peaking at close to 18).

I know this is about the ocotillo run but I Just wanted to throw this out there! Sorry for late notice. Myself, Lee Surfnmoto, and his Jeep buddy are doing the Mojave trail this upcoming weekend. Leaving on Friday morning and coming home Sunday. If anyone would like to join we'd love to have a few more. Let me know!
