Was wondering if a bed extender from a 00-04 Frontier will fit on a 05+ Tacoma. I have the extended, it fits between the tailgate pillars, but don't have a bracket kit for it. Should I get a Frontier bracket kit or a Tacoma bracket kit?

Thanks for that link, but wouldn't this one install differently than the Tacoma OEM one?

If I have to install it that way, and not by getting brackets that attach to the bed rails which is what I would prefer, what bracket set do I need to order?

Hard to tell by the pictures in the Craigslist add as to what connectors it has but I'd probably go with the Frontier ones to be safe. The pieces that you attach to the truck just get drilled into the bedside so they technically don't need to be Toyota, just need to match the extender.

Are there any brackets that will allow me to attach it to the bed rails rather than installing new adapters?
