Is the bold red writing in the OP most current info or is the 7/25 update in the OP most current? I guess I overlooked that the 55s were backordered until today and had thought they were good to go after 8/2?

That would explain the no shipping info yet.

    Update to the Thread Jack..
I have one of these Ozark Trails roto-coolers used on a recent 3 day weekend camping trip. 100+ temps on the first day up to Sequoia's under tonneau cover. 80+ temps throughout the day (for two days) in the bear lockers, and 100+ degrees on the way back under tonneau again. Had the box initially filled with 4 refreezable ice blocks and 5 lbs of ice. Kept the food frozen the first two days and started to thaw out a bit by the third. Got home, emptied out the contents and was left with some ice remaining. This one just fits under the factory tonneau with about half an inch to spare!

We had it loaded with 2 bottles of wine, sourdough loaf, bagels, pre-marinaded taco meat, marinaded salmon packets, tortillas, OJ, onions, cilantro, pre-packed turkey chili packets and fruit enough for 4 people. Worked really great for a budget cooler! Hope these frosty ones work as well as the Wallyworld Ozark Trail 52qt unit!
    IMG_1366.jpg IMG_1398.jpg

There was 5lbs of ice in there along with the freezer blocks.IMG_1435.jpg

Just a small hint of condensation building up around the drain after getting home. No leaks!

Thanks for setting this up OP! Just ordered the smaller 35qt for day trips!

It should, but these tests are usually done with the chest fully filled with ice. Under real world use, the food and air contents eat up more than half the usable space. The Ozark Trail cooler advertises 7 days filled with ice. Doubt that will be true with how I had it filled.

Once my 65 arrives I will assess the lid, and see if it's practical to cut in and bevel tie down slots on each end. I'm thinking maybe using a small width belt sander, and just go deep enough so the strap will stay in place.

You will expose fiberglass and insulation. I would drill a hole insert a small diameter PVC and glue into place. Just an idea

The one I had for a weekend trip and then took back had a few sharp edges in it from the roto-mold which I sliced my finger on twice, so keep an eye out. Seemed to work well enough though. The sharp edges weren't the reason I took it back.

Thanks for the heads up. I did notice the rough finishes. I ended up trimming off most of it for the fear of anyone injuring themselves on it. Why did you take it back?

Mostly because I really wanted another brand, but I couldn't get that one in time for the trip. But also not the biggest fan of Walmart. I really didn't go into it with the intention of taking it back, but when I thought about it after the weekend I decided to drop a bit more cash for a different one.

What are your thoughts about it? Why do you feel you need to drop more cash on a different one?

As I mention above I think it worked well enough. IMO it's main flaw is the big plug which is where most of the temperature loss occurs. I didn't have any issue with leaking which is most people's gripe because I made sure it was screwed in tightly. I was gone three days and put two bags of ice in it with the food and drinks and there was ice left. Reasons I took it back were stated. I wanted a Vibe but their 45s were out-of-stock. I've ordered one of their 20s in camo and then one of the Frosty's on here.
