I like the Ozark Trail because of the availability of parts.

Wonder how easy it will be to purchase and replace one of those rubber latches if it breaks on the Frosty.

I remember you posted somewhere with shared parts from a Cabelas's cooler? A lot of the rubber latches in store were all torn up and the hook end from the orange plastic hooks having a really sharp burr or mold seam on them. I cut all those off and sanded them smooth and hit it with some 303 as a sort of lubricant. Really not noticing the rubber getting cut up at all compared to the in-store customer test models.

The OT coolers in the 52QT variety has dropped down to $127. Even better than what I paid originally @ $147.

I saw that on Walmart website. Decided to cancel my order of Frosty. My GF works at walmart and gets a discount on some items so I'm hoping I can get it for a bit less.

Got an email update from Frosty on my 120 QT. I can wait, and will gladly accept a free tumbler for doing so. Good for them on reaching out to me!

Also needed a drain plug for my RTIC 45 and in the process ordered a basket for it. Not bad for $9. Plug was $5

Apparently there is a 1/2 " of play on either side of the lip so you should be good finding one to fit.

Agree with the temp loss there. Can see in my pic where the condensation builds up. It was totally dry and about room temp everywhere else, but the drain was cold.

Yep, it's fairly thin material and when I did the flashlight test, that was the only place I could see light coming through. I did like that it had the two different sized plugs.

Yeah, me too. I wouldn't want to drain freezing cold water into my plants right away with the hose attached, but I suppose you can drain into a bucket for reusing the water later.

Or use the small little drain hole while the cooler is on the tail gate pouring into bucket.
