    Good luck!

Are you running the stock battery? I started my truck after sitting idle for 1 month in the NWT (temps have been a steady -30c to -40c for weeks) and it started up instantly (plugged in of course). I'm using a Northstar AGM.

$5 says the door is unlocked and just frozen shut. Visually verify the lock from the passenger window.

Edit: I say that with love. Tone doesn't translate well on here .

They key should mechanically open it being an MT

That's what I was thinking. Maybe crack the window gasket and fire some hot air from a blow dryer down in to the door for 20 minutes or so.

Turning the key twice opens the passenger door as well.

Correct . Electronically. The driver side should be mechanical. Not sure why a new truck wouldn't open with a key. I'll have to check my lock when I get out to see if it can be forced

Thats just a safety feature so you dont get vandalized. The only reason I said jumper it to the starter is to get power back to the battery. Obviously it wont start but if you hit the negative on the the starter it will turn over...

Even if you get in, hood opened and able to jump, has the truck been connected to a block heater?

Isn't there a risk at those temps of the cooling system being frozen, or even damaged?

This is why chain saws were invented. Or is your chain saw also frozen?

Let's say that plug does go straight to the battery (without powered relays), I don't think the wires can handle any real amperage to give your battery a real charge in any decent time.

If you try this, keep a close eye on your truck. If you put too much juice through the wires you're likely to let the smoke out. Once the smoke is released then something isn't gonna work when you want it to.

I was under the impression he only wanted enough juice to operate the remote door locks, not jump start it.

Do the 17's have the power sliding rear window? If not you could try and push in and slide that open from the bed and have someone small enough to fit threw or jimmy rig something to pull a door handle?

Had this happen in my old 4runner, battery died after being frozen for 3 weeks and the key locks were rusted solid.

Local taxi in Montreal had a door unlocking kit. I'm sure at least your local tow trucks would have something similar. It's a small inflatable wedge that you work into the corner of the front door, then pump it up which creates a gap. Then insert a flexible rod through the gap and manually unlock the door

    Easy peasy
