You’re right bout the dissing so thought I would offer an idea above.
Tacoma is a mid size truck capable of carrying a half ton or more so 1/2 ton if you wish ;) No indecision on my part there.

I use to have a tundra that was able to carry larger stuff. Now i have an access cab tacoma that has a 6' bed, but i also have a 5x10 utility trailer that i can pack a lot of stuff in. I really don't miss the tundra anymore with gas prices so high.

My neighbor uses a doggie pooper scooper service.
The guy show up about 2 times a week in his Tacoma.
He hauls $hit in his truck bed every day ;)

mines great for hauling light loads but it's definitely not a hd truck. it's a versatile, light weight, truck. i also haul literal shit in my truck bed every day for work doing valet trash service.

almost every other tacoma i see has a RTT and max traxx mounted to the side. i'm surprised they don't come from the factory like that.

Ive hauled everything from lawn mowers to teat dip totes in my Tacoma and never once had to ratchet something down so tight it flexed the bedrails. I don't even think that's possible, the OEM plastic cleats would surely snap first.

If only there was some way to have known the size of the truck. Perhaps a website, or a lot where they keep them so a person could see if it works for them before buying one.
