I'm still waiting for my frame to come in on my 2006 Tacoma TRD since Dec 13,2014. Is there a cooperate number or other number I can call to complain? This is a recall item and I'm getting very frustrated. Is there someone I can write to ?

I don't know how much good it would do if you did call corporate. Being the squeaky wheel, they may bump you up on the list ahead of someone else, who knows.

But wait times of 5-6 months seem to be pretty common. Mine is there now (only because my state inspection just expired, and it wouldn't have passed), but they still don't have all the parts they need. I'm coming up on 7 months.

That is a long wait, but I thinks it's pretty normal for people in the same situation.

Dude, I know it's frustrating, but frame changes don't happen in a week. If you need a truck, tell the dealer you need to turn in the car for a rental truck. You're not the only one that has waited as long as you..... relax and put thousands of miles on that rental vehicle you don't own. ;)

Could have tried washing the truck in the last 9 years. Maybe you wouldn't be needing a frame?

But really. You hit the frame with silicone and then hit an indoor car wash when you can and repeat.

It's great that Toyota is replacing these frames but neglect is key in the instances
    Of rusted frames.

Neglect has nothing to do with it. I have an '05 (bought it new) and have washed it religiously. Maybe too much. Mine is in getting replaced.

Yes this has nothing to do with neglect. I don't even live in the rust belt as we don't get snow all that often. Mine is getting replaced. Treated my rig like gold.

Besides I'm sure the dealership is taking good care of your truck. Treated so the tires and everything else doesn't dry rot, running gas through it, guards at night to protect against theft. Look on the bright side you could be driving a Dodge (fiat)

If you don't live in the rust belt, your truck wouldn't be covered by the recall.

Even with regular treatments these frames are still rusting out prematurely. Even in areas that aren't prone to excessive exposure to corrosives (such as road salt), as evidenced by VA being included in the recall.

If it came down to a simple matter of neglect, Toyota wouldn't have issued a recall.

This! I live in VA. Don't think that's rust belt. At least it shouldn't be.

just chill and wait for the frame...

I do want to threadjack a bit, Prime Toyota of Saco 'service' BLOWS GOATS.

I took my Yaris in to get oil/filter once.....I swear they didn't change the filter but I did not mark it, and it was raining the next day, so three days later when I saw dirt on the filter I was thinking they never changed the friggin thing, but could not be 100% sure.

Next oil change, I did mark the filter, and yes they did change it, but they left oil drops and stains all over the inside of my engine compartment and engine cover !! a clean engine bay was now dirty as F**K

    bunch of useless asshats there...

I now just have all my service done where is has been PERFECT for the last 17 years Acton Toyota in Massachusetts. I only tried Prime in Saco since I go to Maine all the time and it is close to where my cabin is...never again. useless sacks of thoughtless jerks there....at least in the greasemonkey pits....that means the supervisors are not doing their job, which means the problem is systemic. Prime wants your money , then get the hell out. they don't care about doing a proper job. good luck on the frame replace

    What's that going to prove?

The frame has holes by the cats, just like very other frame that has been approved for replacement by Toyota.

The frames are rusting from the inside out. An obvious flaw in the manufacturing process, whether it's poor drainage, or no rustproofing, or both. This has obviously been acknowledged by the frame manufacturer, otherwise they wouldn't have forked over $25 million to Toyota.
