For the same reason they took out the 80 cent clock from the 14's. 80 cents times 180,000 trucks sold in the U.S....$$$

Does the hood with it's gaskets not accomplish the same thing when closed?

Anyone who got in on this group buy, are your panels, at the bends on the outside, vibrating against your hood? I have it happening and wondering what you did to mitigate it?

I have it on both sides an on the hood too you can see where it's doing it. Nothing I did fixed it though

I am trying to figure out a solution. It is also probably bouncing down onto your rad support wrap too, mine is on one side.

Mine is under the panel that connects rad support to fan shroud and then has 2 fasteners that go into the top of the grill supports up front. I have no vibration or noise from it and see no marks on underside of hood anywhere. It is the cutout for hood prop version. Hood prop not rattling either.

Interesting, maybe its only the ones that have no cut-out.

Is your cooling panel the no-cutout version?

No one's got conformation on cooling temps or air conditioning performance. What about transmission cooling temps?
