FS: '07 Sport factory LSD take-out and 4.10 factory gears

The rear 4.10 gears are for the 8.4, right?

I am looking for a front 4.10 that will work in our clamshell but I cannot use the rear 4.10 if they are for the 8.4 (I have the e-locker rear).

 

Yes, 8.4. ECGS lists Nitro thick cut 4.10 gears for the 3.73 carrier in the front clamshell. I prefer not to split up this set.

Nobody wants an LSD for $175?! The clutch packs are replaceable, change those before install and it is basically brand new.

Just a quick question about your swap. I have V-6 auto Pre Runner DCLB, running 33's on it. I'm about to re gear, not sure whether to go 4.10 or 4.56 in it. I pull a trailer pretty often, and not sure if the 4.10's are going to make a difference. Thanks for any input.

 

Go with 4.10 unless you want to go up in tire size or you use your rig mostly for low speed offroad and carry a lot of weight.

They are also cheaper and easier to find. You may get lucky and score the whole diffs from a 4cyl 6lug so no gear setting and professional labor required

 

I am glad I decided 4.56, but I will get 35's eventually. If I were keeping 33's, I would want 4.10 gears.

There's another option I think some tundras came with 4.30 gears. Might be a good middle ground. Can also swap the whole third member

 

2007+ tundra differentials are not interchangeable with the Tacoma......

What wrong info? And probs for pointing out that the newer half ton Tundra third is different. I was obviously talking about the older 8.4 rear

Edit: and in order to not get into a keyboard fight. I was trying to help a member out. Yes the Gen2 5lugggers have the same 8.4 rear end but a different third member. Could be th gears can still fit, could be they don't. I'll shut up now. Good luck selling your stuff
