Hey before you end up selling it do you think you could get some mesurements of the rear shock hoop so that I can have JLee copy them so I can FINALLY get my SUA kit installed?

GLWS though.

 

What kind of measurements do you need?

 

While you're back there, could you remove your rear suspension and swap it with mine, bump?

 

I'm trying to find out from Jerry. I could only imagine the length, angles, and radius of the bends. Maybe any thing else that would help with recreating them, like reinforcement plates, attachment points etc.

And for me somewhere for reference of where they are attached to the frame.

I'm not sure what SUA you'll be running might be best to find that out first then build the hoop around that kit. If you need more pics I can do that but for measurement might be a little difficult.

 

I've checked out your build before, I went back to see all that might help and it should help a little. I looked close this time and realized that it looks like two tubes with a box where the shock mounts, and a couple bracing on the bank side of the tubing to the frame maybe. Can't completely tell from the pics.

I'll be running the exact same set up. DMZ SUA with 12" Fox double bypass piggy back. I've talked to Tim at DMZ before when he said he was going to make the hoops for sale if he could get someone to come in so he could make jigs for them but he hasn't had anyone asking for the same set up. I'd do it but it's just too far off a drive for me.

I know the setup I am running the frame had to be notched to fix the shocks.
Also contact Jerez he might be running the same setup so maybe you guys can talk to Tim to make the jig.

 

Jerez is getting the same setup, I think he is just waiting in line to get in the shop.

 

A couple months ago I was talking to tum and he said someone was going to get it done but had to back out for personal issues. Maybe it was jerez and he is back in line ready to do it now. That would be nice if he was, I could wait a little longer I guess....

 

i havent been called to take the truck in yet...
but from what tim told me, hes getting the measurements again using my truck so he can sell the hoops with his sua as a weld on kit for people that dont want to cut into the bed...when will this happen? i have no idea lmao
