My install was very simliar to williams63 (above). I took off my stock skid plate, Made the install 100 times easier. It was a 2 person job, because I needed my bud to hold it in place, while I set and aligned the spacers. The spacers Matt provided fit perfect for me. Don't overtighten the bolts. My advice, get a friend to help, and remove the stock plate. I posted a couple pics of the end result. I like it a lot.

I used a xerox box to hold up my plate, but kept the stock cover on under the skid, felt it might provide a bit more strength? (Toyota OEM skid instructions said to leave it on). So I went with that!

Well I figure I give everyone an update on the install.. All and all it went very smooth right up until the end.. First off whoever purchases one of these skids plates from Matt is making a good move.. Matt's skid plates are SOOOOO much stronger then the crappy one's our taco's come with so great craftsmanship on these things all the way around..

So I removed the old skid plate.. Kepts the rear bolts, washers, and nuts and reinstalled them when I mounted Matt's skid plate.. that literally took about 10 minutes.. I took the new hardware that came with the skid and mounted it on the front of the skid.. I did bolt, skid plate, spacer, washers.. Getting it to line up with the front holes took a little time but all and all not too bad... I got it all mounted and realized the drivers side sat a little lower then the passenger side.... SO... this is where it gets interesting.. Took my 12 mm wrench gave it a turn and I broke the welds on the top nut that the bolt screws into.. .*(*^)(*&)(**_)*.. I tried using a wrench, plyers, and I douldn't budge it.. Probably have to get it torched off as there is not a lot of space to grind it off.. .Anyway, it's mounted and looks good but need to take that nut off and take a few washers out of the drivers side then refasten with a new bolt.. .I'll snap pictures when I get it corrected.

Passenger side is about 20 mm from front bumpers and the driver side is a bit lower.. guessing 25MM.. anyway tough to notice but I notice it.. LOL

Why aren't you doing the TRD anymore? Copyright issues?

Matt, I went down to my buddy's shop and he hit the bolt with an impact gun while I held the nut and it came right out.. I adjust it and it came out PEERRRRRFECT... I had a few compliments on it already and a few people asking me where I got it... :D:D:DI'll snap a few pictures in the next day or two.

Non stamped is still listed on my website. These haven't gone into production yet.

None taken appreciate your input, but the TRD stamp has been discontinued. A lot of people are disappointed about that one ha.

Alright guys due to all the PM's and Emails, I am going to be offering the TRD stamped skid plates for a limited time. My guess would be around 2 weeks until I have finished the other stamp. So this will be everyones last chance order at link below.
