    Got mine today, installed mine today, regretting not getting text painted red.

    Has anyone painted it while it's on their vehicle? If so, is this the type of paint pen I should be using?

    I got these at michaels craft stores.

    Worked great. I even did some touch up after it was on the vehicle.

    Welp... That didn't work... What a waste of money :(

    I ended up doing this, It looked fantastic, but ended up peeling right off the next day. Time to search for another Barcelona Red paint pen that isn't this.

    Here is one found in the SE some people may be interested in if looking to buy skid plate without stamped lettering. Do a search for 00016-35031. I think it may fit earlier models also but not positive. And yes it is mainly just for looks and not real off-road protection.

    Im having trouble mounting the skid. Like a few of the other guys the driver side has a bigger gap from the bumper. i did use the right spacers of each side but the driver side had 3/4" gap where the passenger side is almost flush to the bumper. i have the stock plate between the skid and want to keep it on still. tried installing w/o the stock plate but seems like i need a bigger spacer. any tips on mounting this bad boy?
