Bronze is my favorite color combination with blue. The anthracite light gunmetal also looks really good.

Your truck is definitely  worthy!

Decisions, decisions! If you're going to need a lot of clearance on the inside then the -25mm offset really helps out!

On a Spruce Mica truck I really like bronze wheels. Black looks good too.

I was leaning towards matte black as well bronze might be to much color offset in my brain lol.

As for clearance...I know my TRD bajas won't work without spacers, and if I'm already bumped out 3.5", a spacer might be a bit much. How far over stock does -25 mm offset poke out?

I would be hard pressed to think of a color that wouldn't work with the matte bronze color. Except maybe pink. ;)

How far over stock, or how far over the TRD simulated beadlock wheels?

    16x8" / -25mm offset (3.5" backspacing) vs. the following:

    • 16x7" / +32mm offset OEM wheels = the Five Stars with -25mm offset will stick out approximately 2.75" more.
    • 17x7.5" / +30mm offset OEM wheels = the Five Stars with -25mm offset will stick out approximately 2.4" more.
    • 16x7.5" / +10mm TRD Pro simulated beadlock wheel = the Five Stars with -25mm offset will stick out approximately 1.6" more.
The 16x8" Five Stars with -25mm offset will "stick out" of the fender approximately 1.5" (+/-) or so, depending on your exact tire size and model, and your exact suspension setup.

    :) :) :) I think I'd go with black wheels if I had a pink truck. :D

There are some colors of trucks that I think would go better with colors other than bronze, but in general bronze does look pretty good with most colors. Our bronze colors are very subtle (not a bright gold-ish bronze), so they go well with everything.

I'm currently sold out of all 16" Five Stars, but I expect to have the wheels back in stock very soon. I can reserve a set for you and call you as soon as they come back in stock (should be in 1-2 weeks or less).

I do have 17" Five Stars in stock in anthracite light gunmetal and matte bronze (matte black coming back in stock in 1-2 weeks or less as well).

Couple people have asked for shots of how the offset looks with the 265/70/17 and Five Stars.

So with a 2" lift what is the largest tire size I can get away with some plastic inner wheel well trimming on 16x 8?

    Cool! Keep me posted. :)

Good question! The wheels are painted and finished with a powder clear coat for durability (gloss wheels have a gloss clear, matte or flat wheels have a matte clear). So the answer to your question is "both." :)

    • 265/75R16 is a safe size for all tires, including aggressive all terrain and max terrain (aka mud terrain or M/T) tires.
    • 285/75R16 will work with some all terrain tires with just plastic trimming, but more aggressive tires may rub on the body mount aka cab mount / frame. A lot of times you can fix this with more positive caster in your alignment, but some of the tires are so aggressive that they still rub (requiring a body mount chop if you want them to stop rubbing.
I think a nice 265/75R16 with an aggressive sidewall looks really good on the 16x8" / -25mm offset Five Stars and a 2" lifted Tacoma.

FYI - we have a 16x8" / 0mm offset Five Star set to be released approximately March 2015 that will be a less aggressive fit, and will work with more 285/75R16 tires and a 2" lift without rubbing the body mount. The wheel will not stick out quite as far, and the lip of the wheel will be smaller / the spokes will be flatter. We will be offering this wheel for our customers that prefer a slightly more conservative fitment.

No problem, you are very welcome!

Yikes! Poor guy(s) - both you and your son. :( Hopefully he's ok! Health and family definitely take priority over wheels. Fortunately it sounds like you're going to be able to get him taken care of.

Our wheels will still be here after your son is all fixed up. Just let me know if you have any other questions, and whenever you're ready to get wheels let me know.
