Hey, I'm new to Tacoma world and I'm interested in a 7 ga blank skid for a 2000 v6 manual trans. Shipping would be to zip 30114.
    Thanks!

Oh, I almost forgot. I cut the factory skid plate support out and welded in a piece of cannel iron, it's in the same exact location but is about 1" higher. Is there any way you could make the front of the skid plate a bit higher to bolt up easier? If not it's all good, I figured I'd have to do a bit of fab to put anything in.

There's a lot of pollen and I just washed it and waxed it but hey, that's spring for ya! As you can see in the last picture, I have welded in some c channel in place of the factory skid plate support. I was able to find some perfect spacers and bolt the thing right up, using grade 8 bolts and hardware of course. I had to waller out the holes in the front of the skid because I was using larger bolts than intended. All in all I'm very pleased with how well it went, especially because my front end is modified lol, and the skid looks great.

Do you have a skid plate available for a manual 2.7l( if it's different for each size)?

@22REthan Did you ever decide to make any other skids besides the front?

Damn sucks I missed the sale. But I just received mine last week and it fit in like a glove. Ethan is a stand up guy folks. I didn’t get the hardware and he sent one out the next day no questions asked.

I changed the air freshener to a new one, one time.
Got my skid and it looks awesome! It did not fit well, however. The skid does not work with a diff drop and I had to do some grinding on my truck to get the diff drop to clear and the lca cutouts were interfering with the lca when it would droop. Had to grind that out and trust me stainless steel is not fun to grind on. Not sure why this was not plug n play for me.

It would have been easier to just ditch the diff drop.

I was told it would fit with the diff drop. Can’t really ditch it as I’d get cv bind at full droop and blow through boots.

Also, still had to grind out the lca cutouts either way lol.

Mine fit in like a glove. No grinding necessary.
