@Bell214b sounds cheaper to supercharge it or engine swap. There’s a guy from Guam that put a tundra engine in his second gen single cab, things a beast!

Is all good, I thought I was going to be able to get a diesel Taco a few years ago but bought into the hype- been dreaming ever since. I’m in Kyoto at the moment- saw a brand new Land Cruisers yesterday and it’s killing me

Yeah man I think I am gonna go ahead with the single cab. Got with the spacer, header, and pedal commander. Drive the ever loving hell out of it, and when it wears out, put in the diesel.

51-82722b1600.1517025545 2.jpg In order to get the results you need the header and intake. For the full monty with the spacer. I have a question for intake (aftermarket) my plan is the AFE 51-82722 . So say I get that obesely the bolt mounting holes are not going to match cause you stretch 2" with the spacer . so why can't you just cut the main pipe and add a additional rubber boot to give it the 2" stretch . and if you did that would it be better to cut before or after the maf sensor. or just add a 2" piece of pipe at the reducer before the maf sensor. look at pic and tell me what you think.

Absolutely. That's actually a good idea! AEM actually used to sell an inline filter bypass incase your CAI got submerged in water (the old civic days). Just be SUPER sure to clean it very well after cutting, removing any burrs, contamination, etc. Especially if the pipe is metal. My injen only had one mount, so it was easy. Yours looks to hook to the factory fender intake, so your plan should simplify install. I don't think before/after MAF would make a difference, but I don't know for sure.

Not saying you "have" to use this, but it's similar to what you're thinking. It might even give some tips for cutting/installing that might help you out.

Wow. Yeah I really don't know how mail carriers manage to damage stuff like that, it's almost like they do it on purpose. Thank you for the info, I'll do some research and see if I can make some improvements.

Definitely keep us posted on your intake too, I'm curious to see how things turn out with lengthening it.

I would just replace the existing rubber boot with a longer one. I bought a new intake resonator and I am gonna experiment with some sikaflex and see if I can just extend it as well. Tj hall I will get mine after the first, but I won't be able to install for about 6 weeks due to knee surgery
