For sale: Two 15" steelies and center caps with 215/70/15 Firestone WinterForce snows. These tires were only used when needed and not run any other time. So they have just a few hundred miles on them and are 99% new. Excellent traction....got me through 2 very tough winters. They'll fit any year 5-lug compact Toyota truck and all year 5-lug Tacomas. I've got about $325 in them. Will sell for $100.

I know no one is thinking about snow in the middle of the summer...but this is a good deal. Don't wait until winter to buy snow tires. These are mounted, balanced and ready for action. $100 is really cheap!

    Ha!
My impression after months of looking for Gen 1 15" steelies is that Gen 2 don't fit due to different center bore. Perhaps someone who knows can confirm.

PS Like your "keep it simple" approach ("Plain Jane", earlier driving in the snow post).

Gen-1 wheels fit on the rear of gen-2 Tacos just fine. But the fronts make contact with the calipers...because the front brakes on the gen-2 are a bit bigger than the gen-1. And yes, the hub-bore on the gen-1 wheel is bigger. Not a big issue running them on the rear of gen-2, as the acorn-style lugnuts create a lug centric mount. However, gen-2 wheels will not fit gen-1 Tacos because of the wheel's smaller bore. The only reason I went with gen-1 steelies is because I found a guy on Ebay selling the pair with center caps for a good price.
