    No they did not tell me what the cause was. I just took it in and they asked me if the light was on and that was the end of it.

    Well with a dealership u know theyre gonna make u bring it in in the morning and then come pick it up that afternoon. Just how it is no matter what the job. But i honestly couldnt tell ya, i replaced my own about 2 months before that recall came out. But it only took me an hour. U basically end up removing the airbag and steering wheel and its right there. Theres a great write up on it in here actually. Maybe if ur short on time they will just give u the part and u can do it? Worth asking maybe.
