Not sure if your calling me out or not on the stereotyping...I was just poking fun at the name :p. I do however understand the low post count/not willing to sell thing and I believe that is how the OP is covering his ass. Not much we can do here if he doesn't wanna sell to the guy!

haha, sup y0! you are one of those in my tacoma forum thread that convinced me to come to TW in the first place ; )

yes, indeed. i've seen sellers get burned through paypal constantly, even with delivery confirmation and the like. it's horrible, and i hate to sound like i'm singling anyone out, but i've just seen too much of it to risk it at this point.

i'm sorry guys, if you have seen what i've seen, you'd understand ; )

    jimmy, it is nothing personal.

aw shucks :p. yeah dude fuck the noobs. ive always said you shouldnt be able to sell shit in a forum if you have under 50 posts. and buyers should be smart enough not to sell to folks with low post counts unless they have some rep from like ebay.

I don't think people with less than 500 posts should be able to sell shit here either if that's how we're gonna be about people buying shit. Where is the signage in the grill pic with user name and current date? How do we know OP still even has this grill? The weirdness occurs more often with sellers than buyers on forums. Since you have all this firsthand knowledge of how everything can screw you around selling on forums, how are we here to trust that you won't use it for your own personal gain any more than you not being able to just sell the grill and be done with it. Save that level of analidity for selling a vehicle or something in the 4 or 5 digit price range. This isn't some million dollar heirloom. Everyone can play the over the top personal protection game.............just sayin, GLWS

I can see what ur saying with selling, but we are talking about a buyer here not a seller.i got on here to buy parts and meet some cool people.. If the rules on here were you can't buy unless you have 100 post I don't think meny would even stay around. But in the end this is ur thread, just think you should rethink "UR" rule on no low post count can buy.

i guess it just shows how strong this forum is as a community because in the forum i mod, if someone were to say what i said in the first post about choosing to not sell it, everyone would nod to themselves and nobody would blink and eye because it is SO prevalent on big traffic forums with a certain age range to get ripped off.

by face value, you don't know that i won't screw you, you are right. especially without researching me or looking at my posts. that is the case with anyone. if you feel that i might do that, then it is your prerogative to not deal with me. it is your responsiblity to do the best you can to protect yourself - if you walk into this deal blindly and i rip you off, then you have learned what i have - due diligence is key. and paypal is almost worthless when it comes to buyer or seller protection, don't believe the hype - TRUST ME ON THAT. they aren't a bank, they will never be a bank, so they can ideally do what they want. and they do. that is why i always make USPS MO an option.

however, i certainly can provide ample online presence not here but elsewhere on the internet that proves my worth as a seller. and if you read my posts here you know i'm not an idiot. as part of your due diligence as a buyer, i would expect you to find that and then buy from me with confidence.

here are two very recent examples of a successful buying experiences with builthatch -

    http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/show...fog-light-protection-covers-07-09-Mazdaspeed3

    http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123788512-Cobb-short-ram-intake-%28SRI%29

i'd pull more from the forum i moderate but for some reason it is down right now...

sure, this isn't a thousand dollar gamble here, but what does it matter to anyone but me? if i have seen people lose a hundred dollars on a piece in similar situations. i don't want to bother risking losing 100some dollars in this case and if i can't make myself comfortable with a buyer, then it is my decision to not sell it to him/her. why it matters to anyone except the one user in this thread, i'm not sure :shrugs:
