These are the reflective black decals. The bottom image was taken with a flash.

 

Just ordered basic matte black. I tried to refuse the urge for 2 months now but $23 total is just too easy.

Ever think of selling them with mask on them? Probably would be easier to apply

 

I kept them wet coming off the paper to a wet tailgate , no issue at all . Got the practice T if anyone needs it .

 

No. Using a square of transfer tape would not work due the indented letters (it would not lay flat), and it would be way to much effort to cut the transfer tape the shape of each letter. Installing them wet is really not an issue and is quite easy.

 

I'm just thinking if they were masked a little bigger than the letter it would be easier to center and when you go to squeegee them with your finger or whatever you won't have to worry about the letter forming out of shape. Just a thought. I lay stuff with mask wet all the time. Always easier wet, then I wet the mask and squeegee everything out then peel the mask. A lot simpler, although with the stamping it would be perhaps a little more difficult

 

I did consider that early on, but that would double the amount of work for me to put these out and would require me to raise my prices accordingly. To be honest I've sold over 1000 of these since last November and have had to send out maybe two or three replacement sets and a handful of individual letters due to installation errors so I think it's a non-issue.
