Once Upon A Tire

There once was a very lonely set of tires laying around in a damp, dank, dark garage in the general vicinity of New York City. The tires started life full of ambition, they really came to life when the wheels were rolling. They were always eager to help their owner achieve whatever activities he had in store for the day. Most nights they rested and quietly whispered in excitement about what possibilities the upcoming day might bring. Rain, snow, heat, cold; it didn't matter. When the owner was ready to travel, they would jump at the chance!
But then one day the owner pulled into a tire shop. They were confused, wondering who was being replaced. Had one of them began to leak? They all seemed to be fine. Maybe he was just getting a spare, another tire to visit with! But when he came back out a stranger pulled his truck into the service bay. This can't be! What could possibly be going on here? Once they had their nuts removed they knew that their days with their wonderful owner were numbered. After being violently removed from their wheels, they were slung into the back of the truck. Some cocky new smartass tires took their place. "New and improved", they say.
The ride home was cold and lonely. Not a single tire spoke the whole trip home. Once back home, they were awkwardly crammed into a corner, only to be forgotten about. And now, after all of the pain and suffering, not one single person wants to give them a new home. It's sad, really.

Truly heartfelt... Those poor tires need a good home.

He was supposed to take the to a meet and not return with them.
