    I am a Senior Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic for the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. It is a great gig. I doubt I could find a better job in my line of work.

    I work for the Department of State as a military liaison. Used to work for DOS as a overseas defense contractor, but now with the kids, I need to be home more. So now I’m behind a desk :annoyed:.

    Im somewhat of a “prep” guy. With my background I always like to be ready in case stuff goes to shit. So I modify my trucks to be ready for certain scenarios. ie. bulletproof vest, weapons, lift, tires, lock boxes, extra lighting, tools, HAM/ CB, sleeping bags, tents, water, fuel, the list goes on. So if anything happens, I can take the family and be ready in around 25 mins to leave the city and survive. Anything that I don’t need on the truck or that comes off in that process, I sell.

    Plus, I tend to have an addiction so these mods happen rather fast.
