Plastic hole plugs found in the speciality bins at home depot. 1/4" in size for less than a 1$ I believe. Drill out the current holes on bumper and 6$ touch up paint from ebay and wallah!

Interested in one for my 2010. Will it mount at the top and bottom holes of the plate? Does this come with anything (rubber pads) on the back so the rivets don't scratch the bumper? It looks strong but won't it get pushed back at higher speeds?

    Thanks!

Thanks for your interest. I will try to answer your questions here in case others are curious. Please let me know if I am giving the answers you are looking for. The internet can make clear understanding difficult at times.

The bracket is designed to have the plate mount using the top holes in the plate. It is possible to flip the horizontal part of the bracket upside down if you wanted to use the bottom holes in the license plate but if done that way the plate will not hide most of the bracket and the plate would be blocking the bottom opening of the bumper. But if you wanted that look you could easily flip that piece around.

I include 4 self stick felt pads with each bracket to help to try to avoid damage that might occur in a very low speed bump like what happens when someone is parking and taps your truck. The bracket is held together with screws and nyloc nuts, no rivets. But the felt pads sit a little proud of the nuts so they would touch first.

Others may chime in who have purchased one but the bracket is surprisingly strong. I doubt there is any wind deflection at all. But if there was the felt pads would take the hit first. So either way no worries.

Yell if you have any other questions!

I bought mine back in May last year and absolutely love it. I have had zero rubbing or bending issues with the bracket, even through an automatic car wash. As for your license plate itself, I would recommend using some kind of frame, as it will help with strengthen the plate itself especially if you go through an automatic car wash, since it is only secured by the top holes.

Went to the Ikea website to find those Black Rubber isolators. No go on the website. What section did you find them in?

They are found in the section for the blinds and curtains. they are used for the curtain rods.
I had them laying around as extras I think this might be the link to what it came with. they are noted as rubber liner isolaters. If you have a local ikea store it would probably be easier to grab them.
    https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60217228/
in the link look at the picture with the rubber piece in the recessed part that would hold the rod. That is what I used and it worked perfect
