I saw the order come through. I'll assemble the mesh and bezel while we wait on the TRD's to come back from powder coat.

Last I saw, they were on the powder coat schedule for 2/28 but sometimes they are early and sometimes they are late.

Hoping to have some progress on the 2018 grills soon. There wouldn't happen to be anyone in West Michigan available for testing, would there?

Just curious, what is the difference between 2016 and 2018 grills?

That sensor in the emblem :( Otherwise, nothing.

Our 2016-17's will physically fit on the 2018's just fine, but don't expect the TSS sensor to work.

Sorry for the delayed response. We got really swamped this week.

Yes, that specific one is still available.

Truck needs a wash, and the bezel is still drying, but I think it turned out great! I used a leftover can of duricoat which takes 3 weeks to cure and fully matte. Thx Mike!

Finally got around to painting my super white TOYOTA emblem in matte Smoke Grey. Not the best paint job, but you have to get close up to notice how crappy a painter I am.

I've had my Custom Car Grill for over a year and it still looks as good as the day I got it (even with the bug splatter, lol)!

Looks good in the pic  Nice to see a Perf GT mesh install once in a while too.

Looks like it's held up quite well indeed.

Been working on a new design which will likely need to be adapted for when we start making 2018's (stilling looking for a West Michigan owner to help, or someone to mail in their sensor if possible).

This is the first completed prototype of it, and the design may change a few times before we hit production. It fits good in the grill frame we own. Some of the bolt holes line up perfectly with factory holes, and some line up but at a slight angle on the left and right side. A couple holes were added in the corners, that will require a few holes to be drilled (behind the bezel area, wouldn't be seen if reverted back to stock for some reason).

The frame is carbon steel and painted gloss black, and the mesh is aluminum and painted flat black. This prototype is epoxied together, more than likely the production piece will be bolted, and more than likely the production pieces would use an aluminum frame.

Also, this is an all new slotted mesh that we haven't offered before. The mesh may later be used in in the standard pieces using the oem bezels. More info on the mesh to come later on.

Since we're still working on the 2018 sensor issue, this piece was made for the 2016-17. Is there any 2016-17 owner that's interested in this? I'm looking to get some general feedback on the install and fit. This piece is good but it's not going to be perfect, it's the first one we made.

Looking for $250 + shipping on it, with $100 of that being refundable after we get installed pictures and detailed feedback on it.
