FS - ARE Z Series Cap & FrontRunner Rack

Selling a ARE Z Series with Front Runner Roof Rack mounted on Front Runner tracks.

This cap will fit 2016+ short bed double cab trucks.

The cap has carpeted headliner, tilting windows, folding & sliding front window, interior LED light, and locking rear glass. I have 1 key (I believe a 2nd but not sure).

The roof rack is fairly new (installed a little over a month ago tops).

I’m asking $2400 OBO for the setup. I have new ARE badges for the shell I will include too.

Located in Strawberry Plains outside of Knoxville TN.

Not looking for any trades at the moment, but I’ll entertain offers.

Not that I didn’t like it. In fact I do like it a lot. I just think I’d like a GoFastCamper more.

If this doesn’t sell I won’t be disappointed and I’ll just proceed with my original build plans.

Yep they told me the same. I’m really in no hurry. They told me soon they’ll be taking 10% deposits as well for units so that may be the route I take.

 

that would be nice, that is definitely my dream to have one of those things, I will keep my softopper for now for camping, it hasnt let me down yet!

Original post has been updated as well. I forgot the front window slides as well as folds down.

 

My original plan (and I will may go with this) is to buy a CVT tent and a full length awning since I’m about 90 minutes from their Chattanooga location.

The removal and reinstall of the tent whenever we go would be a pain, where the GFC would be ready to go all the time and lighter to boot.

The negative about the GFC is, we have two GSD’s who we take with us. They love to look out the windows of the camper shell and the GFC does not offer side windows at this time and I’m not sure the option will ever become available.

After some thought and speaking with others about potential setups to replace my camper shell, I have decided to keep what I have. I believe it will work best for me in the long run.

What made you decide not to get the GFC ? I’ve been thinking about replacing my shell with one as well

 

I have two GSD’s who love to go with us and the lack of windows wouldn’t suit them well. They like to look out the windows when we are out on the trail/road. I know there is a front/rear window, but no side window option. That was a negative.

I also don’t think having my camping setup on the truck 100% of the time is necessary. I’d prefer to have my current front runner rack setup.

Then there is the money. I’m a tent away from having a complete setup, where as I’d have to start all over again. So at this point the cons outweigh the pros for me. I wish I could justify it, but right now that’s not in the cards.

 

would you ship to florida? I would have someone pick it up.
