FS: axle housing, SoCal - free SST?

Have an axle housing I need to get rid of
SUA 5-lug 10-bolt had an 8.4” 3.58 in it

honestly what I’m more looking for is an SST to service rear wheel bearings.
Yes you can buy an SST for $200.
But I’m told they’re weak and break.

supposedly it’s better and stronger to make your own from a housing.
I would assume that means cutting off the ends, and it becoming a pressing tool.

that being said, looking to do that if anyone is interested. If so here is h what I propose

you pick this thing up from me have it for free.
Cut both ends to make the SST. I think it involves welding on a square plate to the end.
Then you keep one (side) and let me have the second other side. As it should theoretically make two.
Or if you have info otherwise please let me know.

even better is such a creation that way is much easier to store than a whole housing.
