Up for sale is a Bay Area Metal Fab (BAMF) bracket for mounting lights or light bars behind the grill of a 2nd gen or 3rd gen Tacoma. I purchased this brand new from BAMF one month ago, and installed it on my truck with the intention of mounting some amber warning lights to it. Unfortunately, it won't work for my setup (the lights are blocked by my pro grill, and they don't have adjustible brackets), so I removed this bracket and now it's looking for a new home.

It spent 2 days installed on my truck. Like new, except for some marks in the powdercoating where the hardware was snugged up. Includes the bolts/washers needed for install. These are $80 plus tax and shipping if you order new. Looking for $65 picked up locally in the Temecula area of So Cal. If there's no local interest, I would ship (on your dime). Shipping to my house from BAMF was about $18, so I would expect it to be somewhere between $18 to $25 most places CONUS.

I was thinking of driving lights behind the grille but I have pro knockoff. Any specific photos showing how it doesn’t work well with the pro grille? Which lights were you planning?

The older SR grille is pretty cool for lights. Construction worker style. I still kinda like the pro grille though, as common as it is.

I didn't even think to take photos of it installed. But the issue for me was how far back behind the grill it mounted the lights I was trying to use it for. They are Whelen LINZ6 led warning lights, and you basically have to be able to see the lens in order for them to be effective. With this bracket, they were basically right in front of the radiator, which made them non visible from more than a 30 degree angle or so.

Larger driving lights would hang down a little low and would be partially obstructed by the large middle section of the pro grill. A pair of standard sized "pod" lights would be high enough to shine out the upper area of the pro grill. If larger lights had brackets that would drop them down about 4 or 5 inches (or if someone made brackets for them that would drop them that much), then they'd shine through the lower area with ease. But it would definitely provide more light options for someone running one of the standard cheese grater or honeycomb grills, or an SR Grill.

All of that said, this bracket is currently pending a local sale.
