Up for sale is my Bashfab bedrail spare tire mount.

It's been painted with several coats of Black Epoxy paint, comes with all hardware to mount it.

Used for a few months under a bed shell so perfect shape.

Selling because I built a drawer system and now strap the tire to the top of the drawers.

I also will include a custom Mac's tie down strap. This goes over top of the tire from the two tie down points in the bed, reducing stress on the bedrail from the tire moving. The strap was $70.

    $200/shipped

    Pics attached.

The way I drive this won't hold up. Strapped down to the bed is my best option. Working on some storage solutions to get space back for gear.

That looks pretty cool, but is it actually strong enough to hold in a tire without ripping the bolts out of the bed???

Yes Wilco and other companies use the same idea. I added the strap to remove any question.

With that said, I wouldn’t be pre running the desert with it.

    are you sure?
Asking for myself as I need a place to store a 35 that isn’t under the bed

I think some holders hold the tire up

this one looks like it’s adjustable to allow for the weight to be down on the bed, and holder simply keeping it upright, which a strap would also help with

OP, what size tire did you run with it? Any willingness or price difference to sell without the strap if I already have one?

I ran it with a 34" (98lbs for wheel and tire), you can adjust it and absolutely bury the tire into the bed (I ran it with a bed mat) so the tire's weight is on the bed, and the spare tire mount is basically just holding the tire vertically.

The strap was just extra insurance. I really don't think anyone would have issues unless they were truly a desert truck and in that case, you'd already have a bed cage or similar to tie a tire mount into.

The strap will come with it, it's a custom strap sized exactly for this purpose, with the correct hooks on each end. The strap alone was $70 or so. Mac's straps are the best in the business. I can do $175/shipped

Does it extend far enough that it could be mounted on side rail? I’d like to still br able to use my rear view mirror and that’s my hold up
