    I bought this new in 2010 from a gun shop in reno nv

    It's made by Mossberg for the Remington 870 express. But from what I've read it will work on the mossberg 500

    If it's an 870 barrel it will not work on a 500 and vice versa

    even if it's made by Mossberg for the 870

    Mossberg makes several barrels for the 870, but they don't fit on a Mossberg shotgun

    Ah I see. I thought that's what you were saying. The dealer said it would fit but I never had an opportunity to try it. My buddy bought the same barrel at the same time and we fired some rounds through his 870.

    Thanks for the heads up though.
