FS: Clean 2006 Silver 4x4 4.0L with mild mods $19k San Diego

First I'll start by saying that I am looking to downsize to a smaller vehicle. I simply do not require a truck any longer and I miss "spirited" driving.

I am offering up my lightly modified 4th gen to the local T4R and TW family. Located in Southern California- San Diego. My ask is $19k as she sits. It is a 2006 Sport 4x4, 111k miles with the highly sought after black cloth. Sunroof, Power windows/locks/seat, rear power window, steering wheel controls, Downhill assist feature, abs, cruise control, heat and a/c work great. You can see my "build" thread which covers all the history of the vehicle during my ownership. I was a Nissan technician for 8 years and continued to run my own auto repair shop for the last 6 years. I have always gone above and beyond with my personal vehicle maintenance and care. I should also note that I purchased this truck from a very good friend and neighbor for whom I performed all repairs and maintenance so I knew this truck was taken care of and I did not hesitate to make him and offer when he was considering selling it. -Daystar lift kit (F-2.5/R-1.5) Which gave me just over 3 inches over stock height all around.
-Brand new FJ Off-Road edition Bilstein springs, struts and shocks which came from a showroom take-off vehicle. These provided about an additional 1 in of lift at all four corners.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm looking into 4 cylinder hatchbacks at the moment. Easier to park and better on gas but I'll still maintain some functional cargo space for camping and excursions. Really considering the new Mazda 3 hatchback. It got excellent reviews. I do really like the GTI too but I have a personal thing against German vehicles. I did want to love the WRX but the newer gens got some not so great reviews. I'm open for suggestions if you know the current market! Nothing brand new but something a few years old, reliable and good on gas while not sacrificing too much power so I can still climb some of the canyon roads and hills out here.

 

I would love to borrow someone's GTI when I wanted and then give it back when it breaks.
Heard good things about Mazda.
My wife has a 4 door 09 civic si which always makes daily trips fun. Trying now to decide if its still fitting our needs since we now have a 2 month old. Sounds like we are in the opposite situation you are

A 4 door civic was also in my considerations if I were to go with an older vehicle. Those little Hondas are tried and true 300-400k mile vehicles. What kind of condition is your Si in?

 

Stock with exception of tinted windows. No accidents, one owner as we bought it new. 61k on the clock. Normal wear. I tend to keep my rigs pretty clean (maybe not quite as clean as yours), but this is hers so it will usually only get a really good stem to stern clean up couple times a year.

Bittersweet news to report but the truck has been sold. Thank you to everyone for the compliments and luck. This not the end of 4runners for me. Hopefuly in the near future I can find myself a 2nd or 3rd gen to build.
