    I have reflective but the location is not ideal for it. There is no light source over the sills to show the reflectiveness of the vinyl.

    Yes, I have them but I found that the OEM paint on the letters does not have a clean line and is difficult to completely cover the edges. As a result the original color will be visible around some of the edges.

    No, but if you look at yours closely, you will see how the paint on some of the letters is applied over the edges. Look inside edge and top of the left side of the V and the inside of the 6. Note how the paint goes over the edges. This will be visible.

    Easy solution would be to go over the edges with a black sharpie before applying the vinyl.

    I wonder how these might hold up if you get dirt and mud in the engine bay a lot? I have to wash the engine bay every few months and I could see water slowly creep in on these things. Then again I could just take the cover off and delicately try to clean it that way.

    Shouldn't be any different than the external decals. Just avoid spraying them with a pressure washer.

    You could always take paint thinner or acetone to strip the paint before applying the decal. Lots of solutions to a simple problem.

    I understand completely, but as a seller I must think about what the majority of buyers are willing to do to install decals. While it may seem simple, instructing a buyer to remove the OEM paint with acetone opens a whole can of worms in regards to liability due to possibly damaging the engine cover and an increased number of support issues.

    you still selling these for 2nd gen V6 engines @rrentrop ? I have a 2008 with the VVT i V6 model and haven't been able to find any online for that type. I found some for a Toyota matrix off ImportEquipment and was going to try those in combination with some 2016 V6 and toyota logo emblems from Ebay in super white (planning an engine cover paint attempt).
