Long bed exhaust

 

It bolts right up correct? I am driving from Tahoe to hermosa on sunday. Where are you located?

I dont know if it's bolt on for u. If you have a dbl cab long bed it is. Otherwise you'd have to shorten it.

 

Yes I would love my taco to sound like a truck. But all of the aftermarket exhausts that I’ve heard sound tin like and more like an import tuner than a truck. How would you describe the Borla sound? Which borla muffler is it?

 

Sorry, I didnt see this post. It's a borla pro xs, #400481. The sound is great, typical of borla. The exhaust note range is deeper and more rich than most aftermarket mufflers, not at all tinny and exactly why I've used them through the years. And it's stainless steel ensuring a long life. I've had 4 borlas so far and was happy with all of them.

 

thanks for the info. I’m curious: is the muffler welded in? If not, I’d be interested in just the muffler if you’ll part it out. I understand if you want to keep it a set.

also what muffler are you running now? Factory?

 

It's welded in. The exhaust pipe going into the muffler is a little smaller than the exit so the shop(kenz muffler) used a pipe to slip fit to a straight part of the span. I currently have the ss trd exhaust so I had the pleasure of feeling and hearing stock, weld in, and pretty much back to stock again. The kids and I really liked it but the wife would complain when on an outing, lol.

 

How did you paint the tip? Just with like hi-temp black paint?

 

It came that way from the muffler shop. It's a weld in. It could use some touch up. Matte high temp would work. Looks great when installed.
