It happens. He is extremely busy, but does damn nice work. He screens all the parts for the best ones and only uses those, so that could be holding it up a little. They are well worth the wait though, and he does do this full time, I believe along side if other stuff. He is a very busy guy for sure!

I owned and ran a 4x / racing shop that did a lot of custom work for many years - so I understand things can take a while, things go wrong, and that custom just plain takes time. But, the key is upfront and honest communication (including calling it quits if the project ends up over your head or way out of scope/time).

I'm still wanting to be wow'd and wanting an amicable transaction.... But I'm hitting the end of my rope.

How long did it take?? I sent the first half of total due back in February. Just like he asked me. It's been almost 2 months since I've heard from him. I've been trying to get in touch with him for the better part of 3 weeks now. He's never contacted me at any given time to tell me anything. I would like to hear from him to know what's up. It's obviously getting frustrating.

Well, I see I'm not the only one having a hard time getting a response /ETA from him. I paid him and I sent him all my parts for the build. Last time I heard anything was ~4 weeks ago. No response to my last 3 emails. All I want is a ETA.

It took him some time for me as well guys.

I will say, but is extremely busy, and also has his own life. I am not excusing him, or anyone for the lack of communication, as that is not my place. Thereay even be something going on in his personal life, who really knows.

I will say, that Burt does DAMN fine work, which is well worth the wait in my opinion. Burt may not be the best with constant communication, but he will not screw you over in any way.

    Just my two cents.

I can't believe how many of say he never responds to you. I never had a problem at all with my deal. It took 1 month from the day I ordered them to receive them. I have even commented on some of his Instagram photos and he has responded back to me since then. I even asked about getting some stickers and he mailed them out to me the same day I asked.

The one month from order to receive is probably the key.
Those of us with communication issues have been waiting months - not just since order, but since we were told they should be ready. It's not a matter of not having contact info either, 3 different emails and phone numbers are easy to find. My guess is he knows we aren't happy, and he doesn't really have an answer for us, so we aren't replied to. It's pretty typical honestly ; I've seen it way too many times in 30+yrs of dealing with custom parts.

It's not that he never responded to me we had great communication about the build details, the confirmation of parts that I sent him, ect. But that all stopped after I sent him the last payment. When I started asking about delivery time he went silent. The reason I went with Burt is because I saw his work and was impressed. It seem like this was his main gig and it wasn't a hobby to him just to get a little extra cash on the side.

I know it is more than just a hobby for him, but I don't know if he has other work going on. He did recently move to a new shop, so he could still be getting all setup or something

My limit has been hit, I'm going to actively go about getting my money back unless someone wants to send me $ for the half upfront and take over my spot in line.. 2nd Gen stage III (moranos).

I've seen that as well. I will say I received an email from Burt this past Sunday. It was brief but it said that he was sorry for the delay, and that he was working this week on finishing the murano projects. Holding out hope! Rather have Burts lights than the money back for sure!

I made a comment on Saturday on his instagram feed about needing to take care of previous orders and then also got an email on Sunday (first since 9/9/15) saying sorry, and pics would follow today. I've been told "end of week", "next week" since 7/13/15, so I'm not exactly trusting it.

Edit: I just got tagged by him in a post on instagram a few minutes ago. Showing some muranos supposedly. One has the colors looking like what I ordered, but the build not quite what I ordered, so not sure what to make of it yet.

Burt did amazing work for me when I ordered during the group buy he ran a few months ago. Trust me guys it's well worth the wait. His workmanship is second to none, better than my lightwerkz headlights in my STI by far (albeit they were done 4 years ago).

I'd order from Burt again in a heartbeat if he started doing other vehicles.
