That is correct.

Ears snap in on the sides, captive nut on the bottom with the adjuster screw.

Will definitely have to wait. Between money, and right now things are nuts at work.
Right now I'm the only tech on staff. Until things settle down I'm on call 24/7 and have a 1-hour response time. Can't even enjoy a freaking beer with dinner because of zero-tolerance workplace rules.

But this is absolutely something I'm going to do.

Might start "collecting" parts to spread the cost out and just have you do the assembly.

Want Bi-Xenon.
Don't care about going to 55w... want 35w with 4300k burners.

Is there really any advantage in going with the FXR over the DS2?
DS2 seems like such a cleaner, easier, and more fool-proof installation.
Reading that DS2 can't handle 55w... don't care.
Reading that they aren't as bright... but posts later say they are just fine.

How do they compare to stock? Also, right now, I'm running the "offroad" 65w OSRAM lamps.

The advantage of the FX-R is that it has a slightly wider/better output. Now between the FX-R and the Mini H1s, the H1s are almost as wide as the FX-R. Besides the obvious (price), it is the cutoff line, slightly wider beam pattern and the potential to upgrade to 55w with no heat problems if you go the FX-R route.

D2S or the H1 is a cleaner, easier and more fool-proof installation. Simply put for the D2S or H1: open lights, mount projectors, test aim, and close lights. Whereas the FX-R requires the retrofitter to modify the reflector bowl, find a way to mount the projectors temporarily to temporarily aim the projectors. Once good, then find a way to mount the projector more permanently and seal up the light. Requires more tools, more testing or "trial and error" which in the end result more labor/more time.

If I had to choose between D2S vs H1, I'd choose H1. If I had to choose H1 vs FX-R, I'd choose FX-R but if money is a little tight, H1 will do the trick......then again I would want the option to use 55w.... soo i might just save up for FX-R , but thats me!

It is a world of a difference when you properly utilize an HID kit with projectors! No scattered light, a distinct cutoff line, brighter and wider! In combination with your fog lights, you will light up things that are in your foreground (from the fogs) to things that are straight up ahead with your projectors. You won't be screaming "hey pull me over for i am using a bright as HID and i dont care about blinding people!" to cops.. Especially because the bulb color you select is pretty much an OEM colour... none of that blue or purple crap.

As far as your OSRAM bulbs, I cannot speak for it because I have not seen them in action or read much about them

The Osram bulbs are a bit brighter than stock, but I'm not getting flashed.
Only like 5 or 10 watts more... they aren't like the Wagner 80/100 that I ran on my motorcycle before I upgraded it to HID.

So the DS2 and H1 are both Bi-Xenon? Definitely want to retain that feature.

This is a tough call. The DS2 and H1 I could easily do myself. FX-R, I just don't have the time or a good place to set up for the trial and error aiming.
