I can confirm that the universal fit version of the LCE 2TR-fe header fits perfectly on my 2016 4x4 AC 5sp. Just put it on yesterday. Waiting for the fuel trim to adjust before commenting on performance.

Right on. Yeah, LCE has since updated their design on the headers to make them fit the 14+ Tacomas.

I installed mine a couple of days ago. The engine has not fully adjusted to the header yet. I went on a trip yesterday so I filled up and drove 126.6 miles on 4.979 gallons for 25.43 mpg. That was with the air conditioning on for the majority of the trip and included some city driving. This is about 2 to 2.5 mpg more than I would have experienced with the stock header.

I never achieved 25 mpg before, even with the AC off and coasting, driving like Grandma. I have noticed the part throttle performance improving gradually. I was able to stay in 5th gear with the AC, on up and down hills with less throttle.

When I first drove the truck after the header install, I was disappointed. I saw no performance increase at all. But as I said, as the ecu re-maps, It is getting better. The WOT performance has not changed yet. I believe as the ecu map gets sufficiently populated, the WOT/open loop fuel will be recalculated to new values. I am likely running lean at WOT till this happens.

I calculated the pay back on the header purchase at 57,000 miles at 2 mpg improvement and $2.30/gal. Sweet! Plus the truck is nicer to drive. The rpm drops less quickly between shifts, making shifting smoother. Engine seems happier. It is still nice and quiet. The exhaust pulses back at the exhaust pipe seem more distinct.

I put mine in w/ a injen WAI & they work well together @ bout 25000 miles. Anything above 3000rpm it sounds throaty for a 4cyl motor. Well worth money like @snefo said!
