what brand is the light? I may be interested for my set up.

 

It is made by speed tech lights, but a small company purchases them, puts their own generic control box on it ans a new metal enclosure and sells them cheaper. Just like race car dynamics relabels bilstein shocks and sells them cheaper. Same product and quality but with a generic control box and no labels.

 

does the control box "remember" the last pattern you were on?

sure does! There is only 1 pattern that i really use, so i have it set on that and never have to change it. just on/off. I noticed the badge... I work security and just used the light bar last night on a 10-14 with medical. Obviously my other lights were on too, but they worked great. Fire, medical, and pd were all behind me and followed right along. Clears traffic no problem too. I had to close an intersection after the 10-14, even though they are amber/white, people have no problem seeing them. control box looks cheapy compared to my stl box and also code 3, whelen, etc, but it works just fine. there is also an led on the box that flashes red/green to indicate the flash pattern from the controller too

 

nice, i'm surprised your local LEO's are okay with that...they can be pretty stingy about "civs" with lights... lol. I was always afraid to turn em on in so cal. How much would shipping be to 97420?

 

I know its a touchy issue as far as legality is concerned, but since they are only amber/white, they usually dont care. If it were red/blue then i would be in trouble lol. The PC states that amber warning lights can be used while driving if "an extreme hazard or emergency exists" With that in mind, I only use is when its necessary. Subject OD'ed on Heroin and needed medical asap... RA could not find the location because it was remote, so I went 10-14 with them. I keep the siren off for sure, but lights.. Ive never been told anything about them.

As far as shipping, I believe I can fit everything in a medium flat rate box which is $12 domestic. So total would be $92 plus 3% paypal if you dont want to send as a gift which would be $95 shipped to the door in perfect condition with my custom mounting brackets designed for 2nd gen, as well as controller and all wiring.
