I was just looking at this medical graphic..don’t seat jackers essentially raise the front of the seat like the poor posture stick figure guy?

 

It differs by person lol. Taller people will want the front raised so there is support for their legs. Shorter people usually want the rear raised to level out the seat, get a little ride height, and take some stress off their back. Some people do both.

This product sounds like it's designed only for the rear brackets

 

Yes mine only raise the rear.

I can tell you that many of my 250 positive eBay reviews have been related to back pain relief. I had a new 3rd gen Sport that caused me back pain after long drives. I did not have previous back issues. I am 5'11" for reference. In early 2019 I made a pair of spacers for my front brackets. Within 1 mile I came home, removed them, and trashed that plan. So I actually made fronts years before anyone else and I understood why nobody else made them. They immediately made me more uncomfortable and they pushed my knees too close to the steering wheel. That is when I made a rough set for the rear brackets. I immediately felt relief in my back. I looked at the smaller round spacers that others made and considered buying a pair. Then I thought it was better to make some that were large enough to not topple in an accident. I made a pair, made a post on TW, and that led to the eventual sales of ~3500 pairs. I intended on stopping sales this summer. The market has become saturated with seat spacers. When making that decision I pondered if there was any way to make a safer, more unique spacer. That is when I came up with the new safe design which I will sell as long as somebody needs/wants them. In all honesty I did sell quite a few front and rear spacers for F series Ford trucks. Those have flat front and rear brackets just like Tacoma/FJ rear brackets. I just eventually dropped Ford and concentrated on Toyota owners.

 

To be clear regarding the graphic. The graphic is a culmination of both osteopath and chiropractor seat posture recommendations from around the globe. I have studied this information for years as well as NHTSA documents and studies for safe seat pan angles. This information is easily found on the internet and is supported by many chiropractic web sites and articles. The recommended seat posture is hips slightly higher, even with, or slightly lower than your knees. It is also unsafe to raise the rear brackets higher than 1" based on studies done by the NHTSA. I have had customer Chiropractors since 2019.

 

I like being precise whenever possible, anyone know the exact torque specs for reinstalling the seat bolts?

 

28-32 ft pounds. You have to careful not to break the tac welds on the weld-nut under the floor.

Would it make you feel better if I charged $49.99 for 1 pair and change the name to DesertDidIt. That is what the "other" guy charges for rear bracket spacers.
