These units are almost always out of stock (and currently are). Has all new bearings in it (with less than 2k miles) and 4.7 Marlin Crawler competition gears. Comes with everything pictured. Labeled all the hardware and parts so it’s easy to figure out how to install it. All you need to make this work is rtv, gear oil, and extended/shortened driveshafts (if you have a push button transfercase you will need a jshift). The case is fully assembled and ready to be installed. Local pick up preferred, willing to ship at buyers expense. Looking to get 2800 OBO for everything. The additional gears in the picture are the old 2.28 gears from the donor transfercase. This should work with all 1st gen Tacomas, 3rd gen 4Runners, and t100’s. (415yota is my IG)

Why did you remove it? Shipping to hawaii would be a deal breaker tho....

Kind of a long story, the tacobox required me to get rid of the oem tank (automatic transmission) and I had to install an f150 fuel tank but now I’m planning on doing an SAS in the near future and the rear coilover kit I want to use isn’t compatible with where the f150 tank is mounted. So now I just installed the northwest fab case because it’s shorter and will work with the oem fuel tank. Lol..

Remove the gas tank? What are you taking about. Got any pictures as to why?

Yea if you have an auto transmission the taco box makes your drivetrain too long and you end up having to modify the gas tank/crossmember or remove it. I have a picture of the f150 tank that I did, this is all on my 3rd gen 4runner.

First time I heard of this. I know a handful of friends with 3rd gen automatic 4r with MC, TG, Inchworn crawlbox and no issue with clearance.

Well I couldn’t get it to fit, maybe I just needed to spit on it? Lol. From my measurements it only is a drop in fit with manual transmissions. Maybe you could get by with just modifying the crossmember but I opted to change the tank to an f150 with the eimkeith kit.

I had no problem installing a TG crawl box in my 3rd gen 4Runner with the stock tank in place. The TG and TacoBox are the same length so the shaft length is also the same.

They're all the same length, just different colors. Don't make any sense to me.

Maybe it was a measure once cut twice situation lol. I’ll have to remeasure when I get back home. Oh well what’s done is done, there were a couple other things I liked about the NWF case as well. Can you post a picture of the clearance between your gas tank crossmember and your transfercase out of curiosity?

IIRC, clearance is ~1" away from the gas tank crossmember.

Nothing against the NWF case at all. Also nothing against @eimkeith tank relocate kit for the 3rd gen is if that's what you used. Just clarifying it does fit without tanks or cross member modification.

    This is going in.

All I can say is I must of been lit when I was taking those measurements. Lol. Definitely wouldn’t have installed the f150 tank in that case, whoops. In my defense I was using a multimode case when I did the original installation but yea now I have a j shift lol.
