Ok cool. I really should have waited until my pro grill and grill lights came and killed like, 3 birds with one stone. Appreciate the help.

I have the dealer addon (I guess that was what it was) 2n1 led fog light and when I looked down at the harness/plug, it just seemed to have a lot going on versus simply unplug and plug.

I have found the installation instructions to install these 2n1 led fogs to see exactly what was done. In fact it’s quite a bit… new harness ran from each fog location through the firewall to left side cubby and adding a switch and hiding the driver. I was thinking I could remove the extra wire harness from the (stock to me 2n1 ) but after seeing that I don’t think I’ll be doing that right now. I guess if I ever decided to sell the 2n1 stock “upgraded” fogs I’d have to go in and remove everything

But after looking at the instructions I think it’s just a matter of unplugging the stock fog plug from the 2n1 harness plug and done. I’ll just have the 2n1 harness hanging there until I decide to remove it all including the dead switch I’ll have after

No problems! Nah, this the grill are easy enough to tackle in 10-15 mins.

The hardest part of the pro grill is popping out your factory insert tabs for the original grill

Didn’t know there was a dealer add-on 2in1 fogs are they the same as the Rigid TRD Pro fogs? Or are they aftermarket and dealer installed them?

They are not like the pro rigid fogs. Im guessing the dealer did it as an extra “addon”. I think they tagged it at about $450 on the window sticker.

it’s a projector 2 n 1 fog light- it has the fog function like normal and then a drl function that has leds around the outer edge which has its own oem switch in the left (of steering wheel) cubby to activate with the drl (in headlights) stalk switch. So there is extra wire harness to make it work.
    image.jpg

I’ll more than likely take the time to remove it completely eventually (and sell it) since I won’t be going back to these regardless and it leaves that now dead switch. Gives me a good reason to figure out my plans for the left cubby to get a custom @mesojdm panel :D

Those are pretty interesting. I have never seen them before. Do you not like the output?

Just ordered a set - also found the following that has a pretty good view of what is required in the swap (wheel well approach):

I’ve seen the yellow laminx before and honestly didn’t think to look if there was amber. But that wouldn’t be the route I’d of chosen anyway personally. Not looking for the amber look/style when they are off and then it also changes the leds

It’s too light out to get an output shot unless I’m a couple feet away

Those are so nice man. I get that you want amber though. It would be sweet if they could have a white DRL and amber main fog or vise versa. Kind of like these:

Will these not fit a 2019 OR? All of the descriptions say 12-18 Tacomas.

    It's no different than a '16, so yes it'll fit a '19 as well.

Thanks, that's what I thought but I hate surprises and since there's been plenty of time for the vendor to add 2019 in the description I wanted to be sure.

Noticed today there are some light scratches on the housing of mine. Not blaming the vendor as it may have been me while placing them. Anybody have any recommendations on how to polish them out? Also, are they UV protected?

@Chris_The_Red Prior to install I had to return one of the lights myself due to some light scratches on the outer lense. Not blaming the vendor either I think not enough cushion in the packaging from the factory may have been the culprit. @kustom54lighting is aware and will replace it, their customer service is great and they’re easy to deal with.

Do you think it is worth it for me to send just one light back? Is there any way I can just polish the scratches out?

@Chris_The_Red I would think you can polish the scratches away, assuming that they are already installed it would be hard to prove to the vendor that they came with imperfections. I noticed mine right out of the box before doing anything so I sent the one back.
